Boredom kicked in

Post  Harmen on Sun May 10, 2009 8:08 pm

Ok, picture this: let's say they remade the 1980's Dungeons and Dragons cartoon and pretty much based it around the DDO game content starring: Your character!

If money was no object, who would you have as your voice actor?

Paste a link to some of that persons film footage, bound to find something on Youtube or something. Come on, we got new forums and they're here to stay! (I promise) Let's give it a proper test run!

So easy for Quynn!

Cindy Lauper comes with a natural halfling-voice already.

I'm afraid the 80s cartoon wouldn't work. It'd end up as being rather mature with the current DDO crew....

Few men have mastered the art of alteration as well as he,
Sure, hes not a rogue, hes a House Jorasco artificer....er...

For say, my Warforged Wizard Necromancer, well, raise from the dead, the late George Carlin

its fitting for a necromancer to bring someone back.

Hi Harmen, first post here!

It's an interesting question and one I never really thought about seeing as my characters
all sound like me Smile
for a cartoon I guess it would be one of 2 very different actors.

Christopher Walken : Fine actor and unsurpassed at dead-pan comedy.
Ewan McGregor: Only scottish actor I could think of. Perhaps he could do it in his Obi Wan Kenobi voice Smile

PS love the movie avatars on this forum!

I got a problem, I can picture how Harmen sounds in my head, but I can't find a celebrity with a smilar voice or speech style... will keep looking though.

I mean how hard can it be to find someone that sounds quiet and quite monotone normally, but burts into almost hysteria when something goes wrong?

so easy :)

Post  w1shmast3r on Tue May 19, 2009 8:45 am

well its an easy question to answer, and i got 3 answers Very Happy
my 3 mains are:
Wishmaster (dwarf fighter tactician): my first character and my favourite one, playing with various styles and can handle all situations with unique skills, he could only sound like the one and only Andrew Divoff, played in WishmasteR as the djinn, in some Lost episodes, hunt for red octomber, indiana jones etc, dark evil voice and sarcastic to the bone, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Divoff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fvzPOQRRxw

Cordell Walker (human dual pick berzerker): Chuck Norris, the one and only, i named my character after the texas ranger character by chuck norris and made sure he looks like him also :p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walker,_Texas_Ranger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjYv2YW6azE&feature=rec-HM-rev-rn

Assassinos (dwarf axe assassin): My newest and very interesting character the dwarf assassin lurks in the shadows and deals heavy blows to any oponent swiftly and hides back in the shadows after feinting his enemies, he could only be played by Bruce Cambell, the one that played in army of darkness, evil dead and burn notice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Cambell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-wj-vuNm88

Ben Stein? cheers (Bueller...)

Most of my current crop of alts are Halfling... I'd have to say Shirley Temple for the females (child voice, not the older one).

Maybe Billy Barty for the males.
